The project started in 2004 thanks to an exclusive 2-year partnership with IPG, a true world leader in generators. In 2005 the first fiber laser machine (1.5 kw) was completed and installed; from that moment CY Laser focused only on fiber laser machines, developing the complete machine from scratch and above all the cutting head that is now in its fourth generation. In 2010, CY sold its first fiber laser machine in the US market and this was the first true fiber laser in the entire North American market. Our product range includes 2D fiber lasers (our core business from day one), fiber laser tube cutting (introduced in 2015), fiber laser welding (mainly for cushion plates) and the future plan will be to introduce a 3D laser.
